Sharks Maintain Balance in Our Oceans

Sharks are apex predators. In their position at the top of the ocean food chain, they do not have any natural predators.

Shark feeding habits play a critical role in regulating the populations of species below them, and research indicates that a sizable depletion of sharks has a ripple effect throughout marine ecosystems.

For more than 400 million years, sharks have helped maintain balance in our ocean ecosystems.
